Role Introduction:

As a Bartender - Sports Bar, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service and creating a lively, engaging atmosphere in the Sports Bar. You will work closely with the Sports Bar Captain and the rest of the bar team to ensure efficient operations and a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet and welcome all guests to the Sports Bar, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Provide prompt, friendly, and attentive service to all guests at the Sports Bar, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Prepare a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, demonstrating expertise in mixing, pouring, and presentation.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the bar's product menu, including beer, wine, cocktails, and other offerings, and make recommendations to customers.
• Ensure the proper handling, storage, and rotation of all beverage inventory, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with the daily opening and closing procedures, including inventory checks, and cleaning and maintaining the bar area.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar, including glassware, equipment, and bar surfaces.
• Support the Sports Bar Captain in implementing standard operating procedures, training new staff, and promoting responsible alcohol service.
• Actively participate in product knowledge training sessions and stay up-to-date with new beverage trends and offerings.
• Contribute to the creation and execution of themed events, promotions, and special offerings at the Sports Bar.
• Collaborate with the food service team to ensure seamless coordination and exceptional guest service.
• Demonstrate a passion for sports and a keen interest in various sporting events and leagues.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a bartender or server in a high-volume sports bar, nightclub, or similar entertainment venue.
• Strong beverage preparation skills, including cocktail mixing, pouring, and presentation.
• Thorough knowledge of liquor types, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as an understanding of food and beverage pairings.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment handling procedures.
• Excellent customer service orientation, with the ability to engage with guests and provide recommendations.
• Flexible and adaptable to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, often with fluctuating customer volumes.
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Proficient in both English and Cantonese, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Passion for sports and a keen understanding of various sporting events and leagues.
