This position is responsible for driving room sales revenue through corporate partnerships, with responsibilities for travel trade channels and online distribution platforms. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, Events & Partnership, this role requires a results-oriented sales professional who can develop new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and optimize our rooms product distribution.

Responsibilities

  1. Corporate Sales & Business Development
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve room revenue targets and occupancy goals
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new corporate accounts and business partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel managers, and decision-makers
  • Conduct sales calls, site visits, and presentations to showcase HKGTA’s unique accommodations and facilities
  • Negotiate corporate rates, contracts, and partnership agreements
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and customized packages for corporate clients

    

     2. Account Management & Client Relations

  • Serve as primary contact for assigned corporate accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Conduct regular account reviews to assess satisfaction, identify opportunities, and address concerns
  • Develop account penetration strategies to increase share of business and repeat bookings
  • Create tailored programs for key corporate clients including preferential rates and value-added benefits
  • Track client booking patterns and preferences to enhance relationship development

   

    3. OTA & Travel Trade Management

  • Manage HKGTA’s presence on online travel agency platforms (OTAs) including rate loading, content updates, and promotional campaigns
  • Optimize rooms product positioning and pricing strategies across OTA channels to maximize visibility and bookings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with travel trade partners including travel agencies, tour operators, and wholesalers
  • Monitor OTA performance metrics, competitor rates, and market trends to inform pricing decisions
  • Coordinate with revenue management to ensure rate parity and inventory optimization

    

     4. Revenue & Performance Management

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets for room revenue and room nights
  • Monitor sales pipeline, conversion rates, and booking pace to forecast performance
  • Prepare regular sales reports, activity summaries, and performance analysis for management
  • Identify revenue enhancement opportunities through upselling and cross-selling of facilities and services
  • Collaborate with marketing team on promotional campaigns and sales collateral

      

    5. Collaboration & Strategic Alignment

  • Work closely with Director of Admissions, Events & Partnership to align sales strategies with organizational goals
  • Coordinate with Events team to identify corporate clients requiring combined accommodations and event services
  • Liaise with Front Office and Guest Services to ensure seamless guest experiences for corporate bookings
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote HKGTA
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitive landscape, and industry best practices

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of corporate sales experience in hotels, serviced apartments, or hospitality accommodations
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding room sales targets
  • Strong in interpreting sales data, booking trends, and competitive insights to guide the strategic planning
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, contract negotiation, and account management
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with ability to influence decision-makers
  • Proficiency in sales systems, CRM platforms, and property management systems
  • Fluency in Cantonese and English (Mandarin is an advantage)
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial mindset and results-driven approach
