Summary:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience
  • Education Level: Secondary, Primary
  • Cantonese, English

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To oversee the daily operation of the uniform and linen section in Housekeeping Department.

  • To responsible for storing, issuing, mending, altering, laundering and recording of all linens and uniforms for all departments.

  • To set up and operate a control system whereby soiled items are exchanged for clean.

  • To control the issuing of uniform for the newly recruited staff, promoted staff and trainees by means of uniform control system.

  • To keep the uniform and linen records update.

  • To prepare the linen laundry report and uniform laundry report daily and keep the records.

  • To maintain sufficient stock for all outlets and rooms, by setting up a par stock level with the help of Housekeeping supervisor and Outlet Manager.

  • To arrange and record laundry tests for all new fabrics and new uniforms.

  • To liaise with all other departments with all the uniform and laundry issue.

  • To liaise with the contracted laundry company and contractual companies for any problems concerning the quantity and quality of product, delivery and any other laundry problems.

  • To complete and record monthly linen inventories report of F&B and Housekeeping Department with Accounts & Finance Department.

  • To prepare the delivery control sheets of guest laundry, uniform, house linen and F&B linen and keep the record daily.

  • To calculate and record the quantity of guest laundry and the uniform laundered for each department daily.

  • To keep equipment and supplies in good order.

  • Report to Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Housekeeper if any item need to be re-ordered when it is in poor condition.

  • To review the productivity standard on the cleanliness and the condition of uniform and linen with linen attendant or laundry company.

  • To supervise Linen Attendants the using of laundry washing machines and drying machine.

  • To monitor the Linen Attendants to check and handling the guest domestic laundry.

  • To review the output of the domestic laundry and mini-laundry, make sure the products are up to required standard and prepare the daily and monthly reports.

  • To prepare Monthly Operation Report, Monthly Inventory Reports, Monthly Laundry Report, Monthly Lost and Damage Report of  linen and uniform.

  • To record and ensure any lend out item is returned to Linen Room.

  • To ensure having sufficient uniform supply and linen supply in critical condition, such as in long holidays, typhoon period and unexpected event happened.

  • To aware the working safety, supervise and give guidance to the subordinates to follow the safety procedure.

  • To arrange sufficient manpower to meet the daily operation demand, make adjustment when necessary.

  • To have regular discussion with Executive Housekeeper/ Assistant Housekeeper on linen supply, uniform and linen condition, equipment needed, staff behavior, and vacation etc.

  • To perform and organize other duties assigned by Executive Housekeeper / Assistant Housekeeper and management in order to ensure smooth operation of the Hotel.

  • Responsible for proper handling of guest and house laundry and establish standards and procedures to ascertain quality of work performed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • F.3 or above

  • 4 years in hotel linen room service and laundering service.

  • Responsible and Reliable, mature, initiative, hardworking.

  • Cantonese, Chinese and little English knowledge.

  • Good skill in sewing, laundering and mending, computer skill is preferred.
