The Department
Our Catering Department manages one of the largest and most diverse catering operations in Hong Kong. We provide a wide range of catering, sports and recreation facilities for Members and their guests in three Clubhouses. In addition, both Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses have numerous catering facilities used by Members, non-members and corporate organizations for a variety of functions.
The Job
You will:
Represent Membership Operation in Corporate Safety Steering Committees and associated work group meetings (i. Fire & Emergency Management Committee ii. Facilities & Project Safety Committee iii. Radiation, Dangerous Goods & Chemicals Safety Committee iv. Occupational Safety & Health Committee)
- Manage and support all the safety and environment related aspects of operation to ensure legal compliance with relevant safety legislation applicable to clubhouses and related operations in HK and China.
- Implement the Corporate Safety Management programs and monitor safety performance of the clubhouses and related operations in HK and China.
- Coordinate with operational teams to execute Corporate Safety Management programs at the clubhouses and other related operations in HK and China. Organize regular internal meetings at individual clubhouses to provide recommendations for safety improvements.
- Establish and maintain a centralized system to track compliance with relevant safety regulations, policies standards, procedures and guidelines across various safety committees, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audit and inspection to ensure legal compliance. Identify deviations and uncontrolled risks in safety and compile detailed regular safety reports to support the relevant parties in implementing follow-up actions from the findings.
- Promote safety awareness among staff and contractors by organizing or conducting regular training, workshops, seminars and programs. Publish relevant information through the Club’s various channels.
- Serve as the primary contact for emergency response for clubhouse operations. Conduct investigations for accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective and preventive measures to ensure compliance with the safety legislation.
About You
You should have:
• Degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Project Management or equivalent
• A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experiences in same capacity
• Intimate understanding of facilities operation and maintenance
• Strong organisation and project management skills
• Good knowledge of data analysis in MS Excel and Power BI
• Well-versed with statutory standards & regulations
• Have in-depth knowledge of Hong Kong OSH regulations and solid experience in implementing SMS. Knowledge in Work Safety Law of PRC would be an advantage.
• Be a good communicator, with good presentation and training skills in English, Mandarin and Chinese.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
