Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the F&B Manager in supervising daily floor operations, including opening and closing duties and table turnover management.
• Greet and seat guests warmly, provide menu recommendations, and handle guest enquiries or complaints in a professional manner.
• Oversee the flow of service to ensure timely and accurate order delivery, while maintaining strong knowledge of menu items and beverage pairings.
• Supervise, train and mentor junior servers and support staff, ensuring grooming and behavioural standards are consistently maintained.
• Act as a key communication link between the kitchen, management and service team.
• Handle billing, cash and card transactions, and assist with reservation management.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years’ food and beverage service experience, with at least 2 years in a similar supervisory or management role within private clubs or high-end restaurant groups.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional language skills will be an advantage.
• Solid food, beverage and wine knowledge.
• Strong experience in managing upscale restaurants and bars.
• Previous experience in overseeing banquets or large-scale events will be an advantage.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead by example in delivering the highest service standards to members.
• Able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.
• Less qualified candidates will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager.

The Aberdeen Boat Club is located in Wong Chuk Hang (MTR exit B- 8 mins walk), South HK Island, provides recreational and competitive sea-based activities with a second clubhouse located on Middle Island.
