Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers as they enter the restaurant.
- Taking reservations or putting customers on a waiting list.
- Giving customers menus and showing them to their seats.
- Handling phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu.
- Assisting various restaurant staff when necessary.
- Maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service.
- Responding to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Managing the reservation book.
- Offering menus and drinks to guests once they sit down.
- Monitoring restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
- Performing opening and closing duties, as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Prior restaurant or hotel experience is preferred.
- Understanding of restaurant etiquette.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Experience in managing reservations.
- Demonstrable customer-service skills.
- Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the entire dining and bar area.
- Availability to work in shifts as needed.
- Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift.
