We are currently seeking for a talented Junior Sous Chef to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain standard of food quality and production, train, motivate and supervise kitchen brigade
- The Junior Sous Chef will be required to be a hands-on person and conduct their duties in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, in accordance with The Mariners’ policies and procedures, ensuring that a high level of quality and service is maintained
- Job delegation to Chef de Partie, Demi Chef and Cook then follow up afterward.
Requirements
- Diploma in Catering school / institute
- 5+ years of experience in both all formal dining and casual dining and with at least 3 years’ management experience leading a team
- Strong experience in western cooking techniques
- Menu creation, planning, training
- Club and Banqueting experience is preferred
- Working in a central kitchen producing food for various outlets
- Possess Hygiene Manager qualification and knowledge in Occupational Health & Safety
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel & Word
- Knowledge of HACCP systems and ISO 22000 is an advantage
- Knowledge in local food safety and hygiene regulation.
